Parsley grows well in pots.
These heirloom plants grow up to 30 inches in height and have a robust parsley flavor, sharper than curly parsley. This plant, much larger than regular parsley, produces an abundance of greenery.
Parsley has slow germination, which is why gardeners prefer to sow it indoors to give it a head start. Soak the seeds overnight and sow them at a depth of 1/4 inch, maintaining the ambient temperature between 65-70°F (18-20°C) and keeping the soil moist. Don't expect germination before 25 to 35 days.
Transplant your plants to the garden when all risk of frost is eliminated, spacing them 6 inches apart in full sun or partial shade in rich, moist soil. Since parsley has shallow roots, mulch the base of the plants to retain maximum moisture and control weeds.
Parsley can be consumed fresh, refrigerated, or frozen.
