Caraway prefers sandy soil and full sun exposure. It is best to sow it directly in the garden as it does not tolerate transplantation well. Plant the seeds at a depth of ¼ inch and a distance of 6 inches. Note that caraway germination is slow.
Fresh caraway leaves have a flavor similar to dill and can be harvested at any time after the plant has reached a certain maturity. Water regularly but not excessively.
