French Breakfast Radishes taste best when they measure about 3 inches in length. They are bright red on top with white tips. Their slightly spicy flavor and crisp texture make them perfect for snacking or dipping.
Sow your radish seeds directly in the garden, about four weeks before the last expected ground frost, at a depth of ½ inch, 1 inch apart. Prepare a rich, moist, and deeply worked soil. Thin them to about 3 inches apart or more for larger radishes. For a continuous harvest, plant new ones every two weeks.
Radishes generally do not tolerate heat well, so avoid sowing them in the middle of summer. Harvest your radishes when they are 3 inches long for the best taste.
