White radishes have a sweet taste and are crunchy.
Sow your radish seeds directly in the garden, about four weeks before the last expected ground frost, at a depth of ½ inch, 1 inch apart. Prepare a rich, moist, and deeply worked soil. Thin them to about 3 inches apart or more for larger radishes. For a continuous harvest, plant new ones every two weeks.
Radishes generally do not tolerate heat well, so avoid sowing them in the middle of summer. Harvest your radishes when they are 1-2 inches in diameter for the best taste.
