German Chamomile grows well in pots and in the garden.
It has a gentle fragrance of apple and pineapple, making it a favorite for tea. The dried flowers and leaves also make a fragrant addition to potpourri.
Start your seeds 2 to 4 weeks before the last expected ground frost. Plant them at a depth of 1/4'' and 6'' apart. This plant prefers full sun exposure in sandy, well-drained soil.
As soon as it reaches a desired size, harvest it as needed. You can dry the flowers for 2 weeks away from direct sunlight to preserve them in a pot during the cold season.
