Type: Perennial Height: 20’’ Exposure: Full Sun
This plant is a friend to bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
From the same family as mint, these bluish-purple flowers will add color to your aromatic garden. This perennial plant is fragrant and attractive to pollinators and can be used for infusions.
Hyssop thrives in light, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade and should be planted after the last spring frost. Since the seeds need light to germinate, sow them on the surface of the soil (1/8’’) and 6 inches apart. Germination may take up to 20 to 30 days. Hyssop is also an excellent border, hedge, or container plant due to its attractive flowers and compact, bushy growth habit. It should not be overwatered, as this herb prefers slightly dry soil.
